Kim Posnett leverages extensive expertise in Internet investment banking to serve as a managing director at Goldman Sachs in New York City. On top of this role, Kim Posnett serves as a board member for the Brooklyn Public Library.

In March of 2016, the Brooklyn Public Library held its 19th Annual Gala, which raised more than $770,000 and honored tech innovators in the community. The Annual Gala gives the Brooklyn Public Library an opportunity to commend innovative companies, such as the Brooklyn-based Etsy in 2016, and influential individuals from the business community, the public sector, and the arts.

While celebrating local business success stories, the gala also raised funds for the library’s tech literacy classes and career development programs that empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and startup companies. The Brooklyn Public Library has become one of the primary providers of free technology in the area, offering more than 1,000 computers across 60 locations. For the 2016 gala, more than 400 people gathered to support the library’s programs and Brooklyn’s tech innovators.
